Is it safe to receive my order in the mail?

Yes. All of our shipments are prepared in accordance to a strict jewelry shipping and packaging standard.  All shipments are insured for the full value.  You have absolutely no obligation until the package is signed for and received.  In the very unlikely event that the package is lost or stolen, ultimatejewelrydesigns.com will provide a replacement or a full refund.

How do I know the GIA diamond I purchased is the one I will receive?

Your package will arrive with the following items: 1) The jewelry piece set with the GIA diamond of your choice; 2) the original GIA report; 3) the invoice; 4) an Ultimate Jewelry Designs Appraisal signed by one of our professional diamond experts. The appraisal, which is  free of charge, is for insurance purposes, and will contain the following information: 1) A description of the item purchased; 2) the detailed specifications of the jewelry; 3) the approximate retail replacement market value. Upon receipt of your package, we recommend that you have your purchase appraised by an independent licensed gemologist. If the GIA diamond you purchased does not match with the GIA report, simply return the item in its original form within 30 days for a full refund.

Can I view my diamond before it is set?

Ultimate Jewelry Designs is confident that you will be delighted with your purchase after your stone is placed in its special setting. Our current policy does not allow us to send stones out to be viewed before they are set.

Can you ship to an address other than my billing address?

Yes. However, we do require authorization so that the fraudulent usage of credit cards can be avoided. We realize that this policy may be slightly inconvenient, but it enables us to provide you with the best possible service. Therefore, shipments made to an address other than your billing address must be verified with your credit card company. Please contact your credit card company and provide them with the shipping address in advance to expedite the shipping process.

What is your policy on conflict diamonds?

Ultimate Jewelry Designs is in strict compliance with the United Nations Kimberly Process, which ensures that conflict diamonds cannot come into the United States. The diamonds we sell have been purchased from legitimate sources that are not involved in funding conflict diamonds and that are in compliance with the United Nations resolutions. Ultimate Jewelry Designs hereby guarantees that all of our diamonds are conflict free, based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the suppliers of these diamonds.

Does Ultimate Jewelry Designs sell "enhanced" or "treated" diamonds?

No. Ultimate Jewelry Designs specializes in high-end diamonds. Our quality standards does not allow us to sell any diamonds that have undergone any processes such as laser drilling, fracture filling, or color/clarity enhancing. Our diamonds are 100% natural. It is illegal to sell these diamonds without full disclosure.

Can you laser-inscribe my diamond?

Some of the diamonds in our inventory may be laser inscribed, and we would be happy to send your diamond to the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) for this process. The diamond must be recertified after it has been laser-inscribed. Please contact us at sales@ultimatejewelrydesigns.com or (866)543-6688/(646)366-9310 to speak with a Diamond Consultant. This process usually takes 10 business days and requires an additional fee of $100.

Is engraving available on my rings?

What if the ring I order doesn't fit? 

We offer free ring resizing within 90 days of the original shipment date. Most rings can be resized within 4 business days. Depending on the size discrepancy, some rings may take approximately 8-10 business days to adjust.

What are the advantage and disadvantages of white gold versus platinum?

Platinum is generally more expensive than white gold. It is more durable and stronger than white gold. It also does not wear out as quickly as white gold, however platinum will actually bend and scratch a bit easier. Platinum will keep its steely white color forever, where white gold will tend to change its original color bit. It turns yellow. On the other hand platinum will eventually have more of a matte finish whereas white gold stays shinier.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, wire transfers, personal checks, cashier’s checks, and Wells Fargo Finance (this option is for in-house customers only). All payments are subject to funds clearance prior to delivery.

How do you ship, and how quickly?  Are you able to deliver on a Saturday or Sunday?

Ultimate Jewelry Designs offers free shipping for all stock items that do not require setting or alteration.  Orders placed on line by 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time from Monday to Thursday will be shipped the same day via Fedex Priority Overnight and be fully insured.  Free shipping includes handling and insurance within the 48 continental U.S. states (no P.O. Box, A.P.O. or F.P.O. addresses).
 
Orders placed on Friday by 1 p.m. for Saturday delivery is subject to availability.  If this service is unavailable in your area, we can arrange to have your package held at your nearest UPS or Fedex location for pick up.  Sunday delivery is not available.
 
Please note that we require signature upon delivery, regardless of any existing signature waivers you may have with Fedex or UPS.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship to most countries, however please e-mail us at sale@ultimatejewelrydesigns.com to confirm your location and to get shipping rates.  Additionally, please note that you are responsible for any import duty/tax and VAT, which we will verify with a local customs official. You must pay for any import charges to customs upon arrival of the package, or it will not be released.

Can I return my purchase if I am not satisfied?

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, a full refund can be issued for any stock items returned within 30 days, in its original condition. Please contact us at sales@ultimatejewelrydesigns.com or (866)543-6688/(646)366-5310. Once we receive a returned item and it is accepted, your refund will be processed within a couple of days. Custom Orders and modified or altered items are not refundable. However, we do guarantee the quality of our custom work, and you may send back any customized item within 30 days for improvements if needed. Returned merchandise should be shipped via U.S. Postal Service, registered and fully insured.  Please address the package as follows:

How do I ship back to you?

Use only U.S. Post Office Registered Mail with insurance when returning an item. This is the safest method. It is not overnight, and usually takes 2-4 business days.

What if I want to return my ring but no longer have the GIA report?

The original GIA reports cannot be replaced. However, if you lose the original GIA report, we may request a duplicate from GIA at your expense. Returns without the the original GIA report will incur a replacement fee of $200 per report.
